It's the summer music festival season and I've taken full advantage. In the past month I've attended Rock the Bells, Pitchfork and Lollapalooza. Every event was a one day affair for yours truly. First, Rock the Bells...I was about 15 feet from the stage and so close to the stage that the hair on my arms moved from the maddddddddddd bassssssss. Redonkulous. In the course of the day, I saw A Tribe Called Quest, Rakim, Nas, Mos Def, De La Soul, Method Man and Redman and Dead Prez. I thought I died and went to hip-hop heaven, but no, it was just another year of the Rock the Bells. When you have B. Real from Cypress walking on stage with a fat-ass j in between each act, you know it's on.

The very next day I attended Pitchfork which was cool, but too damn hot and I was too damn tired to really enjoy it. Plus, I really wasn't impressed with the acts. Maybe it was the heat, but nothing spoke to me - ah well, it was a $30 ticket. Which leads me to Lolla which, thanks to Radiohead, was incredible. Mix in my boys from the 'Kron aka the Black Keys, a very cool up and coming hip-hop act called the Cool Kids and you've got a dope show and well worth the $80 fee.

So, that's my summer - what the hell y'all been doin'? So, let's listen to some new funky isht. Ed Banger, if you don't know, well, now you know. And how about DJ Cam? Yeah, I can share my name with him, he's the real deal.

Here is Busy P with Murs "To Protect and to Entertain" and  DJ Cam "Gangsta' Shit."
