Three South African women, whose father wrote "The Lion Sleeps Tonight," have won a six-year battle for royalties in a landmark case that could affect musicians worldwide. How about that for a starter? Yep, I remember reading about this year's ago, one of those stories you hear about someone who creates sumpin', only to die penniless in a gutter. I hate this damn song, always have, but that doesn't mean my main maing Soloman Linda shouldn't have gotten his loot.
No one is saying how many millions will go to the daughters of the late composer, who died in poverty from a curable kidney disease in 1962 at age 53. But the family's settlement with New York-based Abilene Music, which gives Linda's heirs 25 percent of past and future royalties, has broad implications. It means that other creators of songs that were initially good and will be played to death will have their royalties given to the rightful person, the songwriter. Just think how much Lion King on Ice has made off a song with the same notoriety as Kum Ba Yah. Jesus.
And so it goes. Speaking of original work that someday will mean millions to the C$ empire, here is a re-posting of the "Ting Bu Dongs" and "Leche" this is your last chance to download this for free. Snag it.
Leche

Lets not forget "Over the Underpants" eitheer C$.
You are so right Thunder. I will post that tonight, with your permission, of course.
permission granted my friend. I'm getting excited as fight night fast approaches. I think that we should looby for a Thunder v. Vitamin S table tennis undercard. Sweatsuits required.
That sounds wonderful and yes, I am excited for the fights.
fights? what fights?
My maternal grandmother's cousin wrote the song "The Game of Love" as well as the soundtrack to "The Guns of Navarrone." I'm fucking CASHING IN, bitches. Anybody that wants in on my millions should bring a pack of tropical skittles and a copy of ABBA's "The Visitors" to my house tomorrow night at 6, though I'm not promising anything. Maybe just some kisses and a little LD, but you won't get any cuddles.
Will we get an UTPOTUPHJ?
Fights, Dale. We are going to the golden gloves in a couple weeks. Wanna go?
By the by C, that's a sweet lion picture.
Thanks for that, Thunder. That was really nice of you.
[7] What the hell is a UTPOTUPHJ?
under the pants, over the under-pants hand job. I thought everyone knew that.
HP, you are the greatest! So what was your orginal inspiration again for "Ting Bu Dongs"? - overjoyed Soupy
Inspiration? I think we both know, little Soup. Sweet, sweet Dr. Bone. The song has new validity because I really haven't seen him in weeks. And, by the looks of his postings on the Bone Machine, that is about right. Where did you go Dr. B?
i'm hibernating.
Hmmm...if you say so Dr. B.
