In Russia, You Don't Mash The Music, The Music Mashes You

I’m having trouble mustering enough righteous indignation to make a post. It’s just not happening today. But it should because I’m about to talk about a mash up and as I’ve said before, I hate mash ups. They are the worst thing to happen to music since ABBA. And now, without the slightest bit of irony, I will post this mash up of Ray Parker Jr.’s “Ghostbuster” and Nine Inch Nail’s “The Hand That Feeds aptly title "The Ghost That Feeds."

“The Hand That Feeds” is from Nine Inch Nails’ new album With Teeth, in stores today. The new album, unlike that piece of shit mash up will not disappoint the legions of Reznor followers. What sort of douche bag even bothers to mix the theme of Ghostbusters with Nine Inch Nails? It doesn't even sound good. What the hell?! Oh forget it. I’m too tired to be indignant. Would somebody please take over for me? Seriously, being this indignant - not so easy.

Stuff to Sample: From With Teeth "The Hand That Feeds" (unmashed) and "Only" (is that a dance beat? Trent, what's going on?)

I'm indignant. I'm indignant as hell!
But not about the NIN-Ray Parker Jr. debacle. Seriously, who gives a crap? Has anyone else out there noticed, let alone cared? Why feel upset about this mixture? Are you gonna let somebody mess with your precious Nails?
What pisses me off (or touches my eggs, as we say in Spain) is the constant flow of condescending remarks regarding Sweden's No. 2 export (the first being Volvo, with IKEA running a close third). And that is the late, great, sorely-missed supergroup ABBA.
ABBA didn't tease their fans with rumors regarding the release of a new album. They didn't mock their loyal legions like the atypical mother who taunts her infant with her teat, laughing at his desire for maternal milk without ever fulfilling his desire.
Right, I don't know what I'm talking about. Anywho, ABBA is cool and NIN blows my ass.

My my, little grasshopper, you are quite indignant indeed. Very impressive.

Now, may I touch your eggs? Poorly mixed songs make my blood boil. I'm sure, after your stint behind the wheels of steel, you probably feel the same way. Nobody likes a train wreck. Beyond that, well, whatever. The internet is full of untalented douche bags and the highly opinionated.

No, ABBA didn't tease their fans with rumors regarding the release of a new album. Or mock their loyal legions like the atypical mother who taunts her infant with her teat. What ABBA did was much, much worse. ABBA made music. Indescribabley horrible music. And I will never, ever let them live it down.

And did you look up those stats about Sweden? Is that true? How can ABBA export more then IKEA? Are we taking into account that poorly concieved musical "Mama Mia" too? Or just album sales? I want to see the numbers.

There is one thing no artist should do. That is release samples... http://www.thtffanremixes.cjb.net/... 365 Fruity Loops Remixed Versions of The Hand That Feeds. For the next year your day won't be complete without a new remix of The Hand That Feeds.

Ho Ho ...this is quite a forum you have going here. You know, I really want to say "The Ghost that Feeds" sucks. I swear, I really do. But i got one hell of a laugh out of it, and at 2:00 in the morning, what more could you ask for?

In contrast, I decied to listen to "The Hand that Feeds." Do my own social experiment of sorts. Well, here are the results.

The cops just left my place, and I am being evicted from my apartment for throwing a chair threw my window and smashing every single piece of glassware that I could find. Not to mention all the headbutting. Let me tell you something about headbutting...IT GIVES YOU A F*CKING HEADACHE!

I had to do something with all that teenage angst...wait a second. How old am I? Holy crap, Rodi, that was Rainbow Pyramiad Triple Dipped straight up 27.

I just found several more remixes. One includes a mix with Bloc Party while another is mixed with Britney Spears. I'm just going to pretnd this never happened, and go on living my life with a distorted view of reality.
