The new Ponys record will be out sooner or later, or so I’m told. It’s more of the same, jangley guitars and scream shout gasping that guitarist and “singer†Jered Gummere employed for all of their 2004 debut Laced With Romance.
The new album, entitled Celebration Castle, does not have anything as well written as Laced With Romance’s “I’ll Make You A Star,†but no matter, it’s still rock and roll and we still love it.
We all know the Ponys hail from Chicago, but did we know that one their key members, Ian Adams, just quit. He did something semi-important in the band, I’m sure. So what kind of effect will his departure have? I can’t say for sure but I’m really hoping he isn’t the one that wrote “I’ll Make You a Star,†the world could use a couple more of those.
Stuff to Sample: From Celebration Castle, “Another Wound†and “I’m With Youâ€

Hey check it out! Somebody I don't know personally, at least I don't think I do, left a comment. I knew it was bound to happen, this is the internet and all, but I'm still kind of happy. Up until now, it's just been those guys i hang out with . . . now we're reaching the WORLD.
Anyway, Steve from the Cave Company left a comment but didn't hit the "Confirm Comment" button (i know, it's so redunant, but you gotta hit that button people) and it didn't go through (i still get them though) So i'm reposting it on his behalf. Thanks Steve.
the album has been out for a few weeks. it definitely grows on you. i say keep listening. also, all of the songs that ian sings in are the best so his departure sucks donkey dicks
[2] Ok, i'll give Celebration Castle another go. It took me a full week to appreciate Laced, which is a lot more time then i give most bands, but i still laugh my way through "I'll Make You A Star."
i'm a stalker.
[4] oh no . . . not another one. That brings my stalker total to nine. Well, one more and I get bulk discounts on my restraining orders. What kind of restraining order do you want? The regular 500 ft. or the super-sized 1,000 ft?
